Providing medical supplies

From Steve Suskin ’72

I am deep into the COVID fight. As director of development for the Afya Foundation in New York, our mission has pivoted from international medical relief to providing desperately needed medical supplies to hospitals, federally qualified health centers, and organizations which serve the elderly. We are sorting, boxing and shipping thousands of pounds every day throughout the N.Y. area. We are classified as an “essential” service organization in Governor Cuomo’s office.

Very intense…Steve Suskin ‘72.

CDC Global Rapid Response team

From Emaad Hassan ’07

As a member of CDC’s Global Rapid Response Team I have been working seven days a week to repatriate Americans safely back to their homes and guiding CDC’s technical support to our international partners in some of the most challenging regions of the globe. While domestic remains the primary focus at the forefront for the response, remote technical assistance to our partner countries furthers health security and diplomacy while keeping Americans safe at home and abroad.
